Brentwood-Charleswood RC

A restrictive covenant (RC) is defined as a legal instrument placed on title to control how the land can be used or developed in the future. It is a private contract between homeowners collectively, or between homeowners and a developer or builder. RCs run with the title, which means if the property changes hands, the RC remains on title and the new owner is expected to follow it. Homeowners in the communities of Brentwood and Charleswood are welcome to join the new Brentwood-Charleswood RC by contacting us.

• How would an RC benefit me?

An RC on your property protects your neighbours from development beyond the traditional development in your community. Likewise, if a neighbour puts an RC on title, it protects you.

• How much will this cost?

It will cost a one time fee of $750 per household.
